All of the organizations listed are considered "partners" with CLC Network. We share a commitment to assist churches as they seek to include persons with disabilities into the fabric of their congregations. We have worked cooperatvely together on several projects and consider ourselves linked together in many ways.
Calvin Institute of Christian Worship has not only offered support and encouragement to CLC Network, they also list valuable articles and resources in the area of including people with disabilities in our churches, especially in our worship services. Search the website using words such as "inclusion" or "disabilities" and see what they have to offer your community. Consider applying for one of their worship grants, which could allow funding as your church seeks ways to make your worship service and church more accessible to persons with disabilities.
Christian Reformed Church Disability Concerns "Everybody belongs, Everybody serves" is the statement endorsed and promoted by Disability Concerns. While primarily serving churches within the Christian Reformed denomination, this website offers many resources other denominations can access as well. Check out the free downloads as well as the products and services suggestions.
Friendship Ministries "To share God's love with people who have cognitive impairments and to enable them to become an active part of God's family" is the mission statement of Friendship Ministries. This organization not only offers curriculum for use with persons who have cognitive impairments, they also have a wide variety of products and supports. Check out the resources they offer churches.
The Gray Center for Social Learning and Understanding is an organization dedicated to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and those who work alongside them to improve mutual understanding. The Gray Center offers many quality resources in the area of ASD, and they also have support groups and good direction for those seeking guidance in this area.
Hope Network is a non-profit Christian organization founded in 1963 to empower people with disabilities or disadvantages to achieve their highest level of independence. They offer a wide range of services and have partnered with CLC Network in our work with church communities.
