Connect and Collaborate: Paraeducator Edition
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
LocationR.H. "Bear" Berends Center for Inclusive Education
Led by Becky Tubergen
While working as a paraeducator in the classroom, have you ever asked: What is my role in this situation? What is my role if the student’s goal is independence? What should I do while the teacher instructs the class?
Paraeducators play a critical support role in helping to meet the needs of all learners. Paraeducators have a high level of responsibility, yet training is often done on-the-job, leaving them hungry for fresh ideas. Join us for an afternoon of connecting with support staff from member schools while CLC Network director of school services, Becky Tubergen, shares effective tools and strategies for paraeducators working in an inclusive setting.
We are offering this in-service twice as paraeducators play such an important role in classrooms; we understand it can be difficult for several staff to attend a training on the same day. Register for the second offering on February 14 here.
This in-service is only available in-person to staff at CLC Network Member Schools. Please contact us at 616-245-8388 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
