Engage Students in their Learning Profile: A Demystification Tool-Box
1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
LocationR.H. "Bear" Berends Center for Inclusive Education
Led by CLC Network teacher consultants
Audience: Educational Support Services (ESS) Teachers and Directors
Teachers agree that talking with students about their individual learning profile and helping them understand how their profile may affect school performance is important. However, many teachers do not feel equipped to have this conversation with students or parents.
In the seminar, we will review four types of demystification and outline five important steps in the planning process. Participants will begin to create their personal “demystification tool-box” to take back to their school and have the confidence to engage students in conversations about their learning profile. Prerequisite: Participants should be familiar with the Neurodevelopment Framework and have a basic understanding of the eight Neurodevelopment constructs.
In order to make this in-service highly interactive for participants, limited registration spots are available. We encourage you to register soon! This in-service will be offered again in the 2018-2019 school year.
This in-service is only available in-person to staff at CLC Network Member Schools. Please contact us at 616-245-8388 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
